Total War games are always good. Each one just builds on the last...you don't need to finish them to enjoy them though. I never finished Rome, just reveled in sending an assassin with the plague in to wipe out Greece.

And stomping out royal bloodlines by surrounding family members as they travel between towns and assaulting them from all sides with cavalry. Lol I love being Roman.

Oh yeah, Medieval 2. It's like, good right?

Lol the Total War games are just as good as my 360! A man must learn moderation in his life, like, don't hit the bitches too often or they just might tell the cops.

That's why you make sure the bitch is a cop to begin with, then she won't have anyone to cry to.

I'm still playing Rome.

Wasn't sure if the new one was worth the buy.

It's by far the best total war game, the other factions actually act like sensible monarchs now. You can tell what your relation with each of your allies is, which helps decide if you need to send money their way to keep the relationship healthy, whereas in the previous games it was impossible to tell, and your allies would betray you for seemingly no reason.

And the new building damage feature is so badass. Gone are the days where a building would appear fine until the damage reached 100%, only to have that structure fall into a cloud of dust. In this game, if my trebuchet hits a part of a structure, that part will show visible damage, I love firing at the cathedrals and hitting the towers watching them collapse in on themselves.

And of course the battling itself is much improved, archers can finally fire over walls effectively and not every soldier looks exactly the same. They also appear bloody as they fight and get wounded, and they get really into it, for example if you zoom into a fight you'll see the soldiers stabbing the enemy and kicking off of the opponent to get their sword out.

It's holding me over until darkfall comes out for sure. If it ever comes out...

Oh and btw I thought it wouldn't compare to Rome but after playing medieval 2 I immediately uninstalled Rome total war, you wont be able to go back to that game after playing this.

I had to turn off shadows to speed up performance but it was a small visual sacrifice to make.

Ok, I'll handle your provinces and send you to battles, you just mop up the dirty peasants.

I just wish these games allowed more freedom to deal with enemies how you wish. I want to stake my enemies captured units out on a hill, run the stake up their ass and out their mouth (or shoulder, just depends really), and organise the corpses into pretty, steaked patterns.

Then I'd raze their capital cities and salt the earth.
