Lately, I have gotten a couple warnings from my ISP for downloading movies. I used to use RapidShare and Forumw.org but a while ago their site became crap and it was a pain in the ass to find anything -- plus I had to pay for RS. I want to keep using torrent but I don't want to pay for a tunneler. Does anyone know of any good private torrent sites?

could try peer guardian 2, but thats not the best protection.
could try paying for a Usenet account (pick a site) and doing that instead of bit torrent, i believe its allot more secure in that regard towards copyright and etc and bandwidth efficient. using nzb files and etc, newsbin pro and etc good programs for it.
its downloading binary files and you assemble them on your pc bascially, so i believe thats why they can't know whats downloaded, or stop it, but ya for good speeds and etc you gotta pay for private sites for that, my bro used to use it, he actually just got rid of cable tv/satellite and payed for an account at a place, and then did all his tv watching via downloading from that, it was pretty damn fast to, i usually never get fast torrents, i saw speeds on average at 5 mb/s to 8 mb/s, downloading like couple gigs in like 10-15 mins, was not bad,
but i never did that cuz i'm cheap so i stuck with torrents, although my isp seems to be pretty good about it, i haven't heard shit from them.

Lol 5mb/s isn't fast? Man I'm happy if I'm downloading at 300kb/s...

i was saying it was fast, cuz ya i download torrents at 700 kb/s on average...
we both had the same isp, and same connection.
tbh the only time i get truly fast downloads is off big companies with amazing networks, like downloading off Microsoft for example

Ahh I follow now, I thought you meant you get average speeds, ie. 5mb/s lol.

Yeah my roommates and I switched over to usenet once our ISP gave us our second warning. Haven't had a problem since, but it does cost like 15$ a month.

ya which isn't bad if you do alot of downloading, you get your money worth, specially if you don't have cable or something
the best thing is to set up a nas. but then you need lots of hd's

If you can get an invite you should try torrentleech. Pretty good.

Ya, there are quite a few good private torrents. The problem is getting the invites :P. I was hoping someone on here would be able to supply an invite to a private tracker. ;-)

I started using usenet and all I have to say is: "OMFG WHERE HAS THIS BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE!?"
Blazing fast speeds, simple to use once you get going, and it is safer than torrents.

lol ya I know. It has been around since the 70's or so, but I am just discovering it as a pirating tool now.

the 70's? that seems alittle excessive since the internet didn't exist yet.

It was conceived in 1979 and publicly established in 1980. It was originally built on the "poor man's ARPANET".
