I did some digging on aionsource.com and found a guide for websites that are offering to accept your payment from paypal etc for time on the aion chinese retail client. I was wondering however how much of the game is actually translated into english and if anybody else besides me and EO were interested in this?

I heard chinese timecards are 8$ for 3 or 5 hours. Its amazingly expensive, I really dont know is this information true or false, but considering you pay for ingame time, and not 15/30/60 days like NC West request it, its still not charming for me. I rather choose the NA/EU launch.

I've checked out the prices, and it's actually not expensive at all. If you were to buy the 300 RMBs it would cost you 54 USD, which equals 26 full days logged into the game. So if you play lets say 10 hours a day it's $23 a month to play Aion. The one site that offers the sale of the time gives a cheaper price the more you buy, so if you buy the 300 brick you'll pay about $18 usd a month which is very reasonable.

hm, indeed, its really not that bad. Still, the language will be a problem tho, since officially there wasnt any translation for the chinese open beta, the one we used for localization is a leaked package from NC West which wasnt carefully handed enough. Lets say, it was illegal. :) And the translated content ends around lvl20-25 actually, not to mention, any kind of events, regional-specific content will not be translated for you.
This is what I've found for prices: http://www.3zoom.com/aion-All/cheap-cdkey-20-3224.html

lol ya i don't plan on even attempting to play the chinese retail
what if you get something good on ur char, then NA will launch and you'll prolly scrap the account or try and sell it or something
ya plus the language barriers.
heh good luck wityh that, if you do go for it, keep us updated on higher lvl content, fraps, screen shots ^^

Me and EO are on the chinese retail, paying for it took 5 minutes to get the time credited to my account from the link to CN-USA. We're lvl 24 and 26 so I'll try to keep a flow of high level content coming.
