Re-made guide, original was bad, plus missing info, etc, i basically re-did/added all of step 4, 5, 6 (they didn't show much) and uploaded some files to filefront

* Aion does NOT work with Windows 7 Beta

*** Make sure you let the installer set up a shortcut on your desktop. You will need that specific shortcut to run the game. If you deleted or forgot to get the shortcut:

Step 3 - Add An Adult/Child ID

You must fill in an adult ID, or else you will have no experience after 5 or 6 hours of playing and you can't pick up anything on the ground.

-The first page is just some sort of EULA acceptance or something, just click the check box then the button at the bottom.
-Next you will be here (next picture)

-If you have logged in before, you will see this page, follow the instructions in the picture.

-Fill in the fields, name in Chinese words, goes in the 1st field. The ID, the number code, goes in the 2nd field.
-UPDATE: Aion has blocked all the IDs listed in the guide. Use the "Generate Your Own If You Wish" (scroll down further)

Step 5 - Convert Your Client to English

-English Translations on content only go to lvl 25.

Instructions for 1st link.
1) Go to your Chinese Aion Folder (default loc: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ê¢´óÍøÂç\ÓÀºãÖ®Ëþ)
2) Then find the L10N Folder, open it
3) Copy the CHS folder in the same directory, and name it ENU
4) Place the Downloaded English Language file, in the folder L10N
5) Make sure your Windows Regional Language Setting are not Chinese but in English

-Apprently the English conversion isn't working for everybody, I'm not sure why, I did read it might becasue you don't have East Asian Language Pack installed (not sure that matters tbh)
-If you don't have East Asian languages installed, you will see []s (boxes) instead of characters:

-Run your client from the icon on your desktop, you will see this picture.
-Think this is server selection i picked the last cuz the original guide had only 2 and said the last was newest server.

1st of all I d like to thank you about this wonderful guide, that was a piece of cake to follow the lines.

Altho i have 2 problems.

1. The launcher is in chinese, but the game client you make us download is totally in korean. Isnt that weird?

2. When i copy the L1on folder in the game folder, the launcher updates it to the previous one so i cant read english.

If you have any hint to help me in these problems, that would be very welcomed!! Thank you in advance.

launcher definitely stays in chinese, umm the chinese open beta client is uses the korean beta client, hence why the client is originally in korean

after you patch it, just the client will be english and content is in english til lvl 25

ummm when i updated it did download more CHS.zip stuff, but the english still worked

i dunno, i suggest updating then tossing that folder back in (there has been 1 update to that folder since i uploaded it)

i guess i could re upload it if need be

other ppl had issues with getting it to english, but i guess they followed instructions wrong or something, cuz later on they fixed it. (archaos's brother or something)
curious what he messed up, maybe other ppl messed up on same part.

also check to make sure filefront didn't add any numbers to end of any of those files

it depends on NC West - they made the translation for their server version, but they were RETARDED NOOBS and they kept the localization files on an unsecured webhost, and it was downloaded by end users - thats how the translation got leaked.

yes erase the number the file should be called enu.pak

the foldser L10N should containa folder called CHS, a folder called ENU, a file called CHS.pak, a file called ENU.pak
