Yeah sure does look pretty, good animation, nice trailer. Which I'm pretty sure I felt about every NC games trailer, then you play it and it's totally unbalanced, only a quarter of the classes are worth playing, some will never have a use. They stagger and dely updates so badly...I mean it's like two months since WaR was released and we've already seen a major update, two of the classes cut on release added, major changes to pvp exp...and they listen to the subscribers. Maybe it's like that for NC MMO players in Korea but playing NA NC games they only just started to show any interest in the user base.
That's my longest post in YEARS.

l2 wasn't shit, its a good game, i still like playing it, but i don't like paying for it anymore.
we'll see when the time comes, look how many ppl l2 got playing it. baby step in NA for a Korean company.
i never heard of Lineage (the first til i played L2) and so on, We'll see how it ges with there dev team here
and NC Soft is not release major updates that far away in l2 anymore.

Yeah I kinda agree, I'm not looking for a questing type WoW game. That shits stupid.
All I want to be able to do is go kill the people who do like that shit and fuck up their day and listen to them cry in chat. If this game allows me to do this, I'll play it.

I don't think L2 was shit, I played it for years, the extent of my cheating reaching to account sharing/boxing which I wouldn't have done if the population was higher. I definately liked the game, what I don't like is how they dealt with their community.

L2 is a good game but NA/euro servers are bad because of low activity, imagine it with
Thousands of people just like wow Servers ? it would be awesome game.Parties never stop..pvp never will stop, everything will be perfact, even Adena !!! i dont think it will be a big problem
I guess thats what happening in Korean servers right now and thats the reason why its a succusfully game in Korean

Well it wouldn't change the fact they can't maintain class balance very well and they seem to want to punish you for wanted to exp. And the only way to exp is mindless grind. But yeah it definately has alot going for it.

Thats true, like remember the dolls on DI in c2. As soon as they found out about those NC Soft moved them deeper and removed their spawning additional mobs. Its like whenever players found a way they would drive them to either grinding like crazy or botting.

Korean like to work for there stuff so a game like l2 required imense time and effort to have anything special in game to show for it.
aion sounds like it'll be same but more of a pvp grind in the abyss, instead of pve grind that everyone hates.
every game has grind to it, just in different aspects, wow is focuses the grind on end game raids.

Its a waste of time ultimately, everyone just bots and thats the end of it. It does no good, i'm sorry but if you got a sense of accomplishment out of running bots you are seriously delusional. In fact, getting a sense of accomplishment out of any MMORPG is lolz to me.
Aion looked too linear last I looked at it, and its run by ncsoft so it will have terrible support/probably be buggy.
Cant be bothered.

i get my satisfaction from killing ppl, or just annoying them/making them mad at me/the game etc.
ultimately u can't stay do that without putting in the time to get a character to end game, equip them etc
if you really can't be bothered to actually sit there and do the grind, there is always alternatives, botting just happened to make sense
couldn't do the whole buy adena, or buy a p lvl service, way i was raised you don't spend money on something without something tangible in return xD

Yeah paying more than the sub fee never made sense to me. And even then I feel we should have gotten higher quality of customer service and community support than we did for the money we were paying.
I don't think MMORPG's necessarily need a grind, but they need stuff to work for and it can't be a cake walk to get it...the problem with L2 was it was just getting more and more ridiculous to get to the 'endgame' and every time people found a way to ease it, they removed or nerfed it. Only thing they never seemed to nerf is bows, yet all the archers complained anyway :p like I said, there was/is alot to like but there's too many negatives for it to be consistantly fun.
The satisfaction from a close battle at a siege or a win against odds was amazing, but you knew it really came down to who had that extra OL or whose side had the extra boss jewel.
