I saw like 4 movies this weekend...We should have a Mondrated rating system and sticky this.




Hancock:

Was pretty good. Interesting enough story line. Good effects Will Smith's character is a super human, pissed at the world, Justin Bateman is the idealistic PR guy trying to save the world.

In a chance encounter Justin bateman's char gets stuck on RR tracks and Hancock saves him, albeit derailing the train and causing uncounted $'s in damage. Hancock is used to being called an asshole for his "good deeds" and is taken aback when Batemans char thanks him for saving his life.

From that point on Bateman makes it his mission to save Hancock from his bad public image and convinces Hancock to try and reform his public image and the way he conducts his feats of heroism.

Wanted:


Based on the comic (not familiar with) fantasy based in reality movie. Matrix meets Shoot em Up meets Fight Club meets Office Space. Heavy on the Fight Club and Office Space.

Movie starts with a crazy action sequence with matrix like jumping through windows , flying midair gun fight and the bad ass guy that does it all getting capped in the head.

Loser office worker, Wesley( James McAvoy) is stuck in work hell, has a total bitch girlfriend that is cheating on him with his supposed best friend.

He seemingly suffers from gnarly anxiety attacks and while waiting for his prescription at pharmacy the big lipped and anorexic looking Fox (Angelina Jolie) come up to him and tells him that his dad was a bad assed assassin got blasted on top of a building and that the guy that killed him is oh shit, over there! Leads to a lame gun fight in a supermarket and a kinda cool but unlikely car chase (Dodge viper vs a bread truck) with shooting and shit going crunch and bang.

Leader of organization, The Fraternity, Sloan (Morgan Freeman) explains theyre a bunch of weavers that can read the mystical cosmic messages of God or whatever by the imperfections in the weave of crappy cloth. Based on this, they get names of people that need to be killed(generally people that are bad and need to be culled from the human herd) Sloan tells him it's his destiny to be a bad ass like his dad and get trained to be said bad ass.

Wesley is a disbelieving fool and goes home in his crappy apartment and cunt girlfriend. He goes to the atm and he's got 3 million dollars in the bank. He's now not as disbelieving.

He tells his nasty fat bitch boss to fuck off, hits his supposed best friend in the face with a computer keyboard and goes off to get trained in the school of bad assedness.

From that point on the movie rolls along, lots of training, getting his ass kicked and being called a pussy he eventually gets bad assed. Cool effects, cool gun fights although completely unrealistic but its entertaining.

Happiness on dvd

This is a fucked up movie with a lot of known actors. The story line is not important, but includes :

A psychiatrist that likes to rape little boys
A pathetic loser that likes to call women out of the phone book, heavy breathe and jerk off as he tells them naughty things.
A pathetic, hopeless, perpetual victim that has no tits and too thick of eyebrows.
An ancient couple that get separated.

Just too much to list but it has the most uncomfortable scenes to watch in a movie. A molester telling his son how he fucked his two friends and how he jerks off to his son.

The Third man


Old assed movie but very good, has Orsen Wells in it.

Set in post WW II Vienna guy comes to Vienna to meet up with his friend for a job but finds out his friend was run over and killed. The story sound heinky so he does some investigating and the story is super fishy and goes for a good ride. I'm too tired to write more about this but Orsen Wells is in it and its good. Has a very good line in the movie...

It's worth seeing. A lot of shots really look good in the theater. I am a fan of watching movies in the theater, I'll watch at home but really the theater is the only place to see a movie.

Saw this friday night.


Directed by Guirllmo Del Toro


Hellboy and his crew are called upon again to entertain and wow audiences.

I thought it was very entertaining, create creatures and effects. Better than the first one I think. Only thing I didnt like what how creepy Hellboy looked when he was a child in the beginning of the movie. Story is pretty good.

In an unrelated topic, Batmans's laryngitis seems to be worsening through out the movie though.

I saw it a few hours ago. The movie was ok batman's voice was very lame, instead of giving him a voice of command and authority it sounded like deep throat problems. Had some slow spots but over all it was good.Fight scenes were nothing special. No good gadgets. The joker was a good role for ledger, had way more scope of facial action than batman. Bruce wayne was like a nicer american psycho.

I saw The Mummy 3 tonight

Brendan Frasier, some replacement chick that sucks and his a guy that plays his son but looks about the same age and the guy that played the brother in law.

This movie was halfway entertaining. Starts out with Brendan Frasier living the retired life, trying to fly fish but he sucks at it, generally bored. They replaced the smoking hot chick from the first two movies with some boobless chick that has weird looking teeth. Both him and his wife are retired living in a ridiculous estate in England being bored.


Then goes back in time and you see Jet Li looking like a bad ass warrior pimp kicking ass and killing and pillaging. He is the HNIC in china and has only one thing left to conquer, to become immortal. So he sends his best buddy to find this hot witch to give him a way to be immortal so he can be ruler of china and the bassed assed pimp of all forever and always. His best buddy humps the witch and Jet Li is going to be mad.They get the witch she finds this book brings it back and casts a spell on him in sanskrit, and Jet Li thinks he's now immortal. He then tells her how pissed he is that she humped his best buddy and draws and quarters the best friend and stabs the hot witch in the gut. Jet Li starts crying adobes out of his eyes and him and his whole army get turned into terra cotta statues....


Meanwhile back in the hood his son is out in China looking around for some awesome treasure in sand and dirt. Guess what? It's Jet li and his adobe army his is looking for.

He finds it and as theyre looking around a bunch of automated ancient cross bows go off and kill a couple of dudes and Brendan's son is sad. But this wears off with the awesomeness of the discovery and is interrupted again by a ninja looking person that attacks them but then goes away.

Cut back to mommy and daddy. Some secret service type guy comes to their house and tells them they have one more mission for them to take care of. Take this egg jewel thing to china and give it to a guy to make some points with China. They are both chomping at the bit to do it since theyre super bored being rich and having nothing to do so off they go to china.

Brendans brother in law has a night club in china called Imohteps lol. He's pimped out in a crushed velvet sports coat raking in the dough and pinching girls asses when Brendans son comes in trying to look like Sean Connery Bond all happy because he found his awesome treasure archeological deal. His uncle high fives him and White suit boy goes off to chase some ass.

Brendan and his wife come in... Surprise! The brother in law is like OMG WTF youre here?!

Brendan's son is thrown across the room by this bald guy Brendan steps in and the bald guy happens to be a friend.


Boring stuff happens and they go to a museum to check out Jet li's pimp wagon with terra cotta horses.

Lots of pats on the back and then this Evil Chinese general guy and his hot evil chick captain come in and take the egg jewel thing that happens to have some life juice in it. They all fight , shoot at eachother and in the fray the juice gets splashed on the terra cotta Jet Li and he's back to life, kinda. He looks like he needs a lot of moisurizer and there is a chase scene that is half way entertaining.

Bottom line. Jet li is back and he's pissed that his ass is chapped and the Evil chinese general want to kiss his chapped ass and work for him. But to do this they have to go to the himalays and take the jewel egg thing put it on top of a golden tower and itll point the way to Shang ri la. In Shang ri la is a magical pool of life juice that will make Jet Li immortal and then he can get his army to come back to life and he will rule the world blah blah.. We've seen all this before in the first two movies.


Brendan and his wife and son and the ninja chick which i forgot to mention more about before go off to stop Jet Li and the evil general or destroy the gold tower.

They get there way ahead but they fail despite getting help from some yetis that kick ass and Jet Li places the jewel on top of the golden tower and a lame looking blue light comes out of the jewel and bounces off a couple mountains and shows the way to a cave where the pool of life juice is.

So after an avalanche and Brendan getting stabbed in the back by jet li they make it to the life juice pool first and guess what? The hot witch is still alive and chillen in the cave. So a total rip off of Indiana Jones 3 she pours some of the life juice on him and he get healed! But thats not the only cool thing, the ninja girl is the hot witches daughter. Jet li's best buddy humped Hot Witch girl and had a hot ninja daughter that Brendan's son totally wants.

So they fail to stop Jet Li again and he jumps in the pool of life juice and he pops out of it as a three headed dragon. He flies off with the evil general on his back to go get his adobe army.

Brendan, his wife, his son, the hot witch and the hot ninja girl all fly in a plane I forgot to mention and beat Jet Li to his army again but it doesnt really matter because they suck and Jet Li bring his adobe army back to life.

Hot witch then brings back all the dead nukkas under the great wall of china including Jet Li's best buddy.

So a big battle between undead army (good guys) and adobe army (bad guys) ensues and in it all the hot witch gets stabbed and dies but is able to give hot ninja girl the only knife that can kill Jet Li.

More battle more battle and Jet Li goes into this room with a bunch of gears and shit that dont see to do anything at all but its old as shit and he stand on top of this dais and make these orbs fly around all cool like. ( he has magical powers I forgot to mention, he can control the 5 elements fire water wood metal and dirt.)

Brendan shoots his cool orbs and a fight between him and jet li and the hot ninja happens and jet li gets stabbed and this is all. He feels a lot of pain and his adobe army dissapears. The undead army waves good bye and they dissapear too.

Everyone is happy. Brother in law has the crazy blue diamond, Brendans son get the hot ninja girl, Brendan and his wife are happy and thats the end.

2 out of 5 vaginas. The movie was predictable, corny and barely entertaining.

I saw Pineapple Express. Was pretty funny for a pot head humor.

Basic storyline, hopefully without spoils for you little gingers out there.

Guy has 18 yr old girl friend and he's a court service processor( gives court summons to people) Witnesses a murder while toking in his car, panics and makes a lot of noise and is discovered. In his panic he spits out his joint and the bad guy comes down to see who saw him in the kill and picks up the joint and knows it's Pine Apple Express, a rare form of MJ that he just starting distributing so he knew how to find the witness.

Adventures tribulations and funny situations then follow.

For a comedy i give this movie 3 out of 5 vaginas

Burn After Reading

Saw this today.

Entertaining and full of dark humor.


i call it as 3 out of 5 vaginas . Don't feel like writing about the plot, it's pretty absurd and dark and funny and I recommend watching it.



Also saw on dvd In Bruges

5 out of 5 vaginas! Pretty good movie despite Colin Farrel being in it. Two hit men fuck up a hit by not only killing their mark but also an innocent boy. So their boss has them "hide out" in Bruges, Belgium.

Aside from the movie being good, you get to see the beauty that is Bruges, Belgium. The place is a park that people live in.

The movie is a dark, dark comedy and the first film of the director, good movie go watch it!

Heard Burn After reading is a bit like Fargo? If so I'll go watch it (whenever it's out in belgium...), Fargo was awesome. If you haven't seen it, it's really worth renting.

Heard Burn After reading is a bit like Fargo? If so I'll go watch it (whenever it's out in belgium...), Fargo was awesome. If you haven't seen it, it's really worth renting.


Fargo is like Fargo compared to burn after reading. I can see now after your comment what they might have been going for with that movie but no, Burn After Reading has a similar style but its doesnt come close to Fargo.

Burn after reading was enjoyable and had some good dark comedy moments, even seeing Brad Pitt's character get shot in the face was kinda funny, and of course George Clooney is good at comedy.

Was kind of boring. Makes you almost feel sorry for W. His whole life, according to the movie, he couldn't quite find his groove. Then after being an alcoholic for a long time he has his moment of clarity and feels that he has to run for Governor of Texas and then for President of the United States, because God told him so.

He surrounds himself with people that are feeding him bullshit and has a supposed abusive father.

Josh Brolin nails W amazingly but kind of dilutes the responsibility of W's presidency away from him by portraying everyone around him as a troupe of Worm Tongues. Richard Dreyfus also nails Cheney-The-Dark-Lord but I think in real life Cheney is even more of an evil prick than portrayed in the movie.

I really misunderestimated how good this movie would be. Thought it would be at least funnier than it was.

I'm optimistic about any movie that appeals to me. Even though other "gaming" movies suck, and I even said Hitman sucked. I was saying I HOPED that it would be good. I mean, I don't think you go to a movie hoping it sucks...do you? lol. I agree though, Half Life would probably make a good movie.

Half Life would only work if hollywood could hire decent script writers that actually would experiment with the story under the discretion of the original creator. (I can't remember that person's name specifically.) Further, it would have to not involve Freeman beyond minor tidbits here and there. However, knowing the way everything likes to get rehashed and cashed out (Saw, for example.) They would probably include him as the main character and it would just be omg bad.

Although, I have to admit if Hugh Laurie was freeman it would be all sorts of awesome.

Freeman as a main character would be rad if it were faithful, like no speaking, just one scientist lucky enough to be wearing a suit getting heaps confused as stuff happens to him. In my imagination it can be completed with an extremely talented script writer and an actor with amazing facial acting abilities.

I saw this movie and I must say it was good. Kevin Smith has his mojo back with this funny and touching movie.

Story is simple Zack and Miri are living a pathetic life together, roomates and best friends. They are destitute, bills piled up dead end jobs, basic utilities shut off. Zack has the idea to make a porno to make money. Zack and Miri's life instantly changes with the organization and casting for a very amature porno. Jason Mewes (Jay of Silent Bob) plays a hilarious version of himself along porn relic Tracy Lords and other Jay and Silent Bob known actors.

The movie is cute and comes at you with a predictable romantic comedy but not at first. It's almost on the same level of art as Chasing Amy but lighter and fluffier.


Tal you'll get to see Jason Mewes fully naked, shlong bouncing along.

Bastad Inxile erased my movie review thread. I just realized it because I went to see Underworld 3 and I was like wth where is my thread?




So despite Kate Beckensdale only being in the movie for like 15 seconds at the end we went to see it after all..





This is a prequel movie and it's actually pretty well done. Like Demon said, you know what basically happens. I hope they make another movie and finish the series because even though the 2nd movie was kinda meh, it has almost reached the point of sucking...

The only complaint I would have about the movie are these few inconsistencies with vapire/werewolf lore.

In the beginning of the movie Sofie has the crazy blue eyes like her father. Later in the movie its gone. I noticed this in the other two movies as well. Their continuity director sucks. Did they run out of money to apply the Dune like crazy spice eyes all the way through to the end of the movie?

Vampires and werewolves, and lycans are supposed to be terrifically strong. Anne Rice described vampires as having like the strength of 100 men.

When Sofie is chained to the sunlight chamber of doom, her handcuffs dont look especially strong, as well as the chains that held Lucien the lycan. Lycans as described in the movie are even stronger and more potent than regular werewolves.

Despite having silver arrow heads in his ass he is able to transform in front of Victor with rage but this same rage wasn't enough when he was about to watch Sofie die. Of course this would totally change the Underworld "world" but at least explain that the chains are magically delicious in a way that doesnt allow for a vampire or lycan to break them


So yeah I give this movie 2.5 vaginas out of 5 but with a should be watched clause lol

I saw the new Star Trek movie

Was pretty good

It totally wipes the slate clean for a new movie franchise that doesn't suck, isn't campy and has actual good special effects.

Movie starts with George Kirk, James T Kirk's father being captain of a starship for 12 mins saving most of the crew and his baby son and wife.

Flashes to the future James T Kirk is now 20 something and kind of a loser but some cool looking Captain convinces him to join star fleet.

Watch the movie. I am not a Trek fan but I liked it and it is redeeming to the old assed movies which sucked. Except Wrath of Khan because it had Richardo Montleban and he was a MAN.

Clint Eastwood is fucking hardcore motherfucker. Plenty of racial slurs, growling, scowling.

Similar in theme to Man on Fire, and I'd say it's as good. Don't go in expecting any action scenes, because there isn't.
