Saw it last night, changed my underwear about 15 times during the movie... OMG FUCK SO HOT!

I didn't have all that high hopes for it tbh, I thought it'd just be a show off of fancy technology and graphics but they got it right as far as I'm concerned. All of the transformers were from the gen 1 cartoons and comics bar 1 single decepticon. My one annoyance would've been that apart from Optimus, they altered all of the autobots to be GM cars coz of a deal :(

While I was annoyed with bumblebee being a camaro, I could understand why they wouldnt want him to be a beetle and be compared to herbie. Fucking classic how they lined him up next to a yellow beetle in the used car lot though lol... I gotta say though I did expect it to be Hot Rod like in the cartoons :( I look forward to the mother fucking sequal basically! They really ended it well with megatrons death and starscream pissing off. It's pretty obvious that we will see Unicron like in the 1986 Transformers movie, and that'll mean Hot Rod and hopefully Soundwave!!! Maybe even the dinobots and constructicons... But they'll probly be in the third, unless they are in the second, and then hot rod will lead the autobots against Galvatron in the third... Iunno I forget the order of the cartoons :s

Yeah the idea was to show you as little of the transformers as possible in the previews so you wouldn't know what you were gonna get, like which transformers were going to be in it.

They talk. They even used the original voice actor from the 1986 Transformers movie for Optimus prime :o

He was also the voice of Prime for the series leading up to the movie. He's the only real Prime. I heard Hugo Weaving voices Megatron, and Starscream may actually be the original too, not sure on that one.

I'm usually all for downloading the movies usually. But seriously guys, go support this movie, its most definitely worth the 8 or 9 bucks. They left it open for sequels and I really want them to make more. At some points it was almost sensory overload...there was so much going on at any given time, and it really did a great job of combining the real world with the CGI world. There was a lot of comic relief which made it a really entertaining film. Plus Megan Fox is always in amazingly hot outfits...good lord.

I do agree that its lame Chevy had to shove their new cars in there, and that they renamed some of the decepticons. What I dont get is why they didn't have soundwave in there. I think their were 3 casette tapes that would be stored in his chest...one of them being frenzy, who is actually a boombox in this film.

Anyway, go see the film, support it so they make sequels/prequels, and then wipe the drool from your chin after seeing Megan Fox.

Only thing that could of made this flick any better for me would of been the soundtrack from the 1986 movie. But i have it on my phone and everyone cheered when i played it at the end im goin to see it again this weekend. I dont think it would do it justice on my monitor

What they referred to as the AllSpark was actually The Matrix (or The Autobot Matrix of Leadership) . The thing that allows them to make other Transformers.

The Matrix is supposed to connect the transformers to the AllSpark, which is the transformers afterlife essentially. Where all sparks start and end.

As for the Energon Cubes: For Energon to be useful for Transformers and safe to use, it must be processed from its crystal state into a liquid form, which is then imbibed by Transformers, often for pleasure as well as for maintaining their energy levels, with an overconsumption of stable Energon causing a state similar to drunkenness. It can be stored in a number of containers, the most famous of which is Energon Cubes, but rods and chips have also been used.

They apparently did use Soundwave for the role of frenzy initially, but the character sorta evolved beyond what Transformer buffs would accept as Soundwave. Probly didn't help that they had him in planes and shit, and if Soundwave had've transformed from cassette deck he would've outgrown the plane lol... Frenzy on the other hand was always one of the smallest decepticons, so the role suited him. Hopefully they bring soundwave into future movies.

I was surprised how spectacular transformers was. I dident grow up with the original transformers , in stead it was beast wars for me. Tho when i was a shorty my local video store had some of the originals on tape, and when i found out it was the same thing I watched the crap out of them.
