Trying not to take offense to this comment.. The boys look just like him except for the eyes and hair. Facially they are his mini-me. They have his eyebrows, his cheeks, his nose, his smile, his ears, his feet, his hands. We could tell in the ultra sound pictures they had his nose its THAT obvious. Both the boys look just like him (except the color differences) and one of girls look just like me and the other is a perfect mix.

I'm simply saying that recessive genes from 2 or more generations sometimes pop up.


Ever heard of Dinah Shore? She as a famous actress/singer in the 40's and 50's. She had blond hair and white skin. Yeah, She was black. Her grandmother was black, mother was 1/2 black and she was 1/4. Yet she gave birth to a baby that more closely resembled her Grandmother than herself and it almost ruined her marriage to a white man because he didn't believe the child was his.

My niece is 1/2 black, her dad was very dark skinned, and yet her skin is more pale than mine. I was simply saying Children don't alway come out like you think they would. "Recessive" genes and "Dominant" genes don't always mean thats what your gonna get. My other sister is a Redhead. Not 1 of her 4 kids has red hair. Not even the ones that look just like her.

All inherited possibilities in the genotype aren't always expressed in the phenotype because some are the result of inactive, reccesive or inhibited genes. Environmental influences can have an effect on the phenotype of an organism, so you could have factors that cause a reccesive gene to be expressed in the phenotype and in a way just 'pop up' couldn't you? I mean I know it's not as simple as 'popping up', but since a phenotype can be observed fairly easily (I mean like you don't need to do biology to be able to tell a person's eye colour) it's not that much of a stretch to have someone without a biology background to put it this way.

Iunno my knowledge of biology isn't that strong, I could be way off here...
