Same here Wigglr. $40,000 is about £20,000 at the current exchange rate. Paying my mortgage alone would take over half of that amount a year :(

On top of that add the car, wine, gaming subscriptions and then other non-essenials like food - it just wouldn't work.

I guess living in Ohio is pretty cheap. Rent for our 2 bedroom 1 bath (can't remember how many square foot it is) apt costs $700...which is actually more than a similar sized house moratage around here, but still affordable if you wan't to rent. Gaf and I combined make 40k ish (I'm not full time tho)...and we're fine, paying bills, car payments, rent, food, and every day stuff, and saving a bit.

It really does depend on where you live, a 3 bedroom 2 bath house around here costs 100k or so (sometimes less toward downtown). In Cali?? In Texas?? In NY?? Its all different and relative to what you make in those area's.

700 a month is about the cost for wait add 200 to that and thats a upscale studio apartment. 700 is prolly some random studio or some apartment next to project housing but not a 2 bed room.

A house here and they are made of shit but lowest you pay for that would be 250k+++ and even 250k is a low stretch. 190k for some hole in the wall
