Anybody else pissed off that bungie/MS fucked up and people who purchased crackdown just so that they could play the halo3 beta cant play?

That's what you get for buying a good game for the sole purpose of getting access to the beta of a game that's been the same since it first came out.

Halo 3 will be the same as Halo 2, which was the same as Halo 1. All people do is adjust to the new weapon balance, and they proceed to find all the bugs/exploits they can use to their advantage.

I'll just wait until the real thing comes out. I can't be bothered raping kids in a beta, 'cause all they'll say is "Oh, you only beat me 'cause it's a buggy beta, I'll take you when it comes out for realz".

Anyways, serves your right for buying crackdown to get halo :p

Wii is the only console I can see myself playing a FPS on in all honesty, otherwise its mouse and keyboard for me...which I guess 360 CAN have, soooo, if I had a 360 w/ mouse and keyboard I'd use it too, but never a controller...

I didn't say they were important...but the difference between the Wii and 360 won't make or break a game...

Xenos graphics core is now horribly outdated.

RSX core was outdated when it hit market.

So does this shit really matter? In my humble opinion it doesn't. Im sorry, but we should learn a lesson from the film industry that people are supporting mediocrity.

The video game industry is coming to the point where products are launched that are well anticipated, yet they fail to deliver... it is rare for a game nowadays to really grab me, it's become all about a graphics war which is foolish to me. (FILM INDUSTRY + SPECIAL EFFECTS = SAME THING AS VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY CONCURRENTLY.)

Graphics are very important, but I don't think it's about the technical level achieved, more about the stylistic elements. People like their senses to be engaged, and there is alot of people that seem to think enjoying something purely based on it's looks it a bad thing.

On another note, I hated Halo 2 with a passion when it first came out, I missed my handgun and i hated that they changed the sniper. In time I came to like it though, only because of xbox live.

Halo 3 should be a good deal, but it will make my xbox useless, and I don't have a 360.

t seems that a group of crafty modders have uncovered what could be new content from Halo 3. Apparently, some modders have dug into the Halo 3 beta code and found mention of several new weapons, vehicles, and new names for medals (Double Kill, etc). See a list of what was found after the break.

The Wii controller sucks anus when it comes to FPS. If you want to be tired after about 20 minutes of gameplay, go ahead.

Halo is the only franchise that has made FPS on a console well managed. I can play Halo on the console just as well as I played DoD on my computer, and I used to roll around in CAL-P :>

Any other FPS game on a console sucks, but at least they're getting better.

Consoles for me are mostly about fighting games, platformers/action-adventure and certain RPG's. My PC is for FPS and RPG's.

RTS's are for geeks.

Except for Dawn of War, the Total War series and Mark of Chaos.... >.>

Oh, forgot to say that I agree with Zelandra though, Halo is well executed as a console FPS and I enjoy playing it on my XBox as much as I do playing UT2k4 or whatever on my PC.

as it stands, halo 3 beta, should it ship right now. id buy it. obviously im assuming theyre gunna have more than 3 maps and a single player mode. but i mean even as unpolished as it is, its still fun, and better than 90% of the shit on the market. people dont like halo, because its halo. they think theyre cool when they dislike something other people like. internet emos ftw i spose. so odd how i get alot of "halo sucks, i hate it" and i ask em "have you ever even played it?" they just say "i dont play console shooters, they all suck." or "i played it once at a friends house". grade A reviewers. theres a reason why its inevitably going to be the biggest game of the year, if not of any game in history. its good.

Well, after you play and finish other games in the market in just 1 day, I really like games like this that takes you at least more time to finish them. Its silly to buy a 50 usd game and end it in a day.

I don't believe it sucks, it is certainly not the absolute best game people make it out to be. I've played both, I've finished halo 1, played halo 2 for awhile... couldn't get into halo 2 as much. Halo has always suffered from repetative map design in single player. Story was good however, although you would think they would put more than one guy in the suit of the master chief.(Am I missing something?)

red steel and far cry were made by retards, and call of duty was a quick port. hopefully resident evil 4 next month will prove that a shooter can come out on the wii and have controls that don't suck.
