The first person part was just fucking retarded. Like I could appreciate it cause I played doom back when I was like 12 or whatever, but from a movie goer point of view it was just retarded.

lol crackdown is the shit. but as for the metroid movie, i havent heard anything besides rumors. the halo movie is coming out, if you havent heard anything about it you need to learn how to read. theres vast amounts of information on it if you werent so lazy to look for it. and considering peter jackson is producing it, i have high hopes. gears of war license was picked up by newline and they already have a director and a producer. what you need to understand is that when someone breaks news that a movie is coming out, they do so the instant the license is sold. from there, a script needs to be written, a cast needs to be chosen, production finances must be located, as well as everything else that goes into making a movie. this is all time consuming. so when you hear "gears of war movie in the works" the license was just picked up and youre looking at atleast a year before any big news hits as far as production goes.

Film pre-production, production and post-production is such a ball breaking process, I'd both love and hate to have the chance to work on a big budget piece.
