What are they? I've often wondered what my friends are going to do with their lives, and since I consider most of you friends and talk with a lot of you outside these forums, what are your plans? What did you do with your life from high school onwards?
Myself? In high school I cared but not enough to merit anything. I scored the highest in my school on the standard tests, but didn't have a stellar GPA, a 3.4. I graduated in 2005 from Olathe North High School in Olathe, KS. I moved to Denton, TX two months later with my parents with whom I've lived with since then. I spent the first year going through jobs like crazy. I worked at a grocery store called Kroger. I was a security guard for a shitty warehouse that had 9 people working in it. I was a cell phone refurbisher for a huge company. I was a butcher for a different grocery store called Albertsons. I was a leatherworker at a small warehouse in Denton called Enmon (http://www.enmon.com) (http://www.enmon.com%29). After that I got to talking to a friend back in Kansas about what she was doing at college. It made me realize what I'd been doing with my life wasn't what I wanted, and that getting back in college was the right thing to do. Since we were pretty similar in high school as far as grades and interests, I applied, was accepted and am enrolled to attend Kansas State Uni. in the fall of 2007. As of now, I'm a QuikTrip clerk, working about 30-40 hours a week, saving money for college life. In college I'm going to be studying Biochemistry where I'll get a job for a major pharmaceutical company making and testing new prescription drugs.
I think that's about it for myself. Now it's your turn.

I plan on going through college and just make the grades and enjoy myself.
My eventual goal is to goto law school, and become a corp. attorney, and eventually take over the family construction buisness, or work with my older brother to run it. In the mean time I goto one of the local community colleges and work for my dad on and off doing construction work, or at the resort we own maintaining the property or doing service calls. I party alot and hangout with my friends, and play lineage 2 at night. :>

You're married now. Won't happen. That only happens to the young, single, 28 year old who bought the ticket on a whim :P

Hmm I'm 17, still in High school (I guess that's how you call secondary school in the US?), last grade tho. After I finish this grade, I'll go in an english speaking country for one year, to perfect my english speaking (which totally sucks, I can understand english quite well, write/read it well too, but I suck at speaking it). I don't know what country it will be yet, it might as well be the Bermudes (yeah don't ask), or Australia, New Zealand or even Canada. I don't really care because I always wanted to go in one of those.
After that year, if I don't totally fall in love with the country I went it, I'll come back to my town and start Medicine (dunno if that's how you say it in english). Now those are extremly long and hard studies here, so I will prolly try to get a job on top of studying(Untill I get to specialize, then I'll be paid by the hospital I'll be specializing in). I'd like to be a either an Immunologist or a Neurologist, and then do research, now I guess I'll see when I'll be there, in 13-14 years LOL =)
With the probable work I'll be doing, I'll prolly earn enough money to buy a house and have a very comfortable life while having a very fun and interesting job. I hope during all those years I'll find someone to live with and have kids.

I plan on keeping my 4.16 GPA until I graduate, apply to UF because of the full ride. From there, I could go on to HBS or I might go into medicine and be a plastic surgeon. Haven't decided yet; however, I'm leaning toward business because AP bio is a total bitch.
I want to make a reasonable amount of money by the time I'm middle aged (6 figures+) with a job I like.
Don't plan on getting married until I can afford it, and NO KIDS.

I've a 3.82 unweighted from my last transcript. I've yet to hear from the rest of the schools I applied to, but I've already been admitted to the gemstone program at the University of Maryland.

Second semester only. It still depends on your courses, but the first is hell with applications and taking the last of your SATs.

I had a 3.2 GPA in High School, because I just didn't give a shit & I did the bare minimum to get by with decent grades. My father was a teacher and wrestling/football/cross country coach at my HS, so I'm sure that helped me a bit through out high school. I applied to 2 colleges which I was accepted to, Bowling Green State University & The University of Toledo. My boyfriend at the time was attending UT, so I choose UT. My family is a BGSU family tho, I had dated the kid for like 2yrs so go figure I chose where he went. I graduated in 2002 from North Ridgeville HS.
My first year of college was at UT and my major was Early Childhood Ed. During my first year I joined a sorority Alpha Chi Omega (AXO), and partied and stayed up all night during weekdays. I met my current boyfriend Matt (Gafaton) at UT. He was my ex's next door neighbor in the dorm, and they went to the same HS. My grades were affected by all the partying and BS and I put on acedemic probation my first semester. My second semester I did better, but my families financial situation would not let me stay for my 2 year (3 & 4th semester). Fall 2003 I attended Lorain County Community College, part time with the same major. Spring I decided I hated my major and switched to Art. I've been going part time since for an Associates of Arts in Graphic Design. I went back to UT in 2005 for 1 class because I was living near there on Catawba Island. I moved back home after and went back to LCCC. I will be done this summer hopefully.
This fall I will be taking my Pharmacy Tech certification tests since I am currently working as a Pharmacy Technician at Giant Eagle Pharmacy. I don't think I will pursue anything with the Graphic Design, but keep it as a back up or as a side job. After I get my certs for pharmacy I would like to work in a hospital pharmacy. :)

Well here in canada we dont have the fancy 4.0 etc etc.. BUT, when I was in high school took all advanced courses, biology chem sciences etc etc. Took my OAC year which is basically just icing on the cake, had a 85 or 90 average in all my classes.
Came time to pick something to do for university/college and had no idea what I wanted to do, instead of just picking something taking it for 3 years and dropping out like a bunch of my friends did I decided to just work and wait until I had figured out what I wanted to do for career.
Paramedics in september. If I didnt like ya in highschool, you die, if you were mean to me, you die.

After I graduated from high school I went to a community college. Half way through the year I moved out and got a place with a friend that I knew since middle school. That was fun =) Then I quit school because I needed more money. So after a year of fun and no school I moved back to my mothers place so I can get back on the "Right" track.
I need to go back to school and pick up where I left off, in Comp Sci. I currently work at Intermec doing software test and integration. Its not a bad job but not a job that I want to do my whole life. Software test is very boring. Perhaps I will do development at some point. But not at Intermec.
I have played soccer all my life. Played for the ODP (Olympic Development Program) and played for college as well. Right now I am trying to get a lot more fit then I currently am by playing Futsal (five-a-side) on Monday's and Thursday's. I plan to go back to college and play starting in the spring. Then perhaps next year I will try out for the Seattle Sounders (semi-pro) team. Then just work my way up from there.
I have family in the UK and I would love to go there to play. I just don't now if that would be the best route to take in my life right now. I always hear story's about relatives going into the Macs academy and all that crap and truthfully these kids aren't much better then I am. I just wish there was that much opportunity in the states to play football professionally.
Oh another thing...I have this gf that I have no idea what is going to come out of our relationship. We have been together for three years now and a lot of my life revolves around her o.O
So currently working to pay off my new Explorer that I just bought for $3500, watching LFC (get our sixth CPL cup =D), and playing soccer every day that I am not watching the reds =D
