Locking myself into a lifetime 1 vagina contract as of Monday, we're doing a small little ceremony, and I'll be preparing to move down to California, where Siri's family has offered a new car, and a place to live until we find our own apt.

If I can snag a digital camera we'll take some pictures (I'd pay for a semi-pro photographer but my financial means are tied up in cancellation fees, my car, plane tickets, and immigration visas.

Chris, Andrea - you have my sincere congratulations. I've no doubt that your endeavors to move from Canada to California will be smoother than getting her from the US to Canada, and it will be something of a new experience for the both of you. You're coming into a nice and humble family there, and it's good to see the transition being made as smooth as it is, given the potentially rocky situation with distances and time apart from each other. You'll do fine.

Having personally known her and the family since we were fairly young, and being fully aware of the hardships that the family has made it through (and experiencing some of theirs myself), it's good to see that things can pan out, all in due time. Even for those of us who might feel or be a bit under prepared for the goals that lie ahead of us in life.
