Watch that...and if you still think its made up, and scientists dont know shit, then you really need to question the way you add things up. This is one of the more imporant parts in Al's speech about the effects of CO2 on global temperature.

Although most studies focus on the period up to 2100, even if no further greenhouse gases were released after this date, warming (and sea level) would be expected to continue to rise for more than a millennium, since CO2 has a long average atmospheric lifetime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas#Removal_from_the_atmosphere_and_glo bal_warming_potential).Looks like we're fucked anyway!

But on a more serious note.. its funny people talk as if they are worried about the earth.. look at what we're doing to it.. when in all reality, its ourselves we should be worried about if we have in fact created the catalyst to another global climate shift..

This chart shows how much coal different areas of the world have produced and consumed over time

Scientists predict that continued global warming on the order of 2.5°-10.4°F over the next 100 years (as projected in the IPCC's Third Assessment Report) is likely to result in:

a rise in sea level between 3.5 and 34.6 in. (9-88 cm), leading to more coastal erosion, flooding during storms, and permanent inundation

severe stress on many forests, wetlands, alpine regions, and other natural ecosystems

greater threats to human health as mosquitoes and other disease-carrying insects and rodents spread diseases over larger geographical regions

disruption of agriculture in some parts of the world due to increased temperature, water stress, and sea-level rise in low-lying areas such as Bangladesh or the Mississippi River delta.

We are by far the worlds largest producer and exporter of coal.
Any wonder why fucken johnny howard doesnt want to admit global warming is a real threat, hes concerned about the bottom line of the country...couldnt give a shit about the future of the planet cause hell be dead before significant effects are felt.

Its this kind of attitude that pisses me off, compounding it with ignoance and religion, and amalgomating the two into policies, its enough to make a person wanna reach out and stab someone.

Can't wait for the global panic when we all start asking ourselves "what the fuck have we done???"..

Rooland will go down first!

We are by far the worlds largest producer and exporter of coal.Yeah but we are no where near the largest consumer... And hey, what other people do with our coal isn't our fault! Blame them for burning it... Besides what else do you want us to do, export vegemite? Natural resources is practically all Australia has going for it in the global trading market. That and camels...

Oh and I've been against people for a long time, I'm not siding with them here... Burning shit, mining shit, all of that crap. I told you from the start the human race is a paracite :)

the situation we are in currently is, for the most part, irreversible. the extreme change in lifestyle that the entire world would have to go through just isn't feasable. according to the cycle of things, we are due for another ice age....but what will happen instead because of the way we have changed our atmosphere? time will tell i suppose. im sure most of you have already noticed the strange amount and ferocity of storms and natural events around the world. just last week, there was 6 inches of snow in mexico....while in seattle it was 40 degrees F. one of the worst snow storms, with the coldest temperatures came through the midwest and east coast last week...after having a very mild january with no snow at all. on christmas i wore a thin jogging jacket and we ate outside...never in my 22 years has this happened. like gore says, it is easy to brush it off as...well i'll be dead before im affected by this. our children and grandchildren will suffer however. the future does look dire; hopfully goverments will begin to open their eyes and start researching ways to replenish the o2 levels.

Well if the dudes in power are proven wrong, they'll just nuke the planet and blame our demise on that.

It was my first opportunity to apply the "conspiracy theory" tab to someone else's post. That is all. I'm not sure I would call it fact; however, it does appear our weather patterns are changing.

we're gonna have an ice age soon. The last ice age was triggered by vast amounts of fresh water being dumped into the atlantic ocean. It just so happens that vast amounts of fresh water is being stored at the north pole. Once the temperature increases just a mere 4 degrees fahrenheit, the ice caps will melt and all the fresh water will go into the atlantic, shutting down a major ocean current which in turn will make the planet cold.

this is what has happened in the past...however, things are different now and i think that there is no way to predict what is going to happen and how fast.

I want to have it freeze like in the day after tomarrow, me striking a seductive pose, so that aliens can find me and put me on display in one of their alien museums
