Spore creatures

As you all well know, spore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spore_%28computer_game%29) is gonna come out within the next several months. And ever since i heard of spore i've been thinking of "What creature would i most likely make in spore?" So far i came up with this:

well, technically it'll still be an animal, but i wanna make it look like a plant as much as possible. There's an extremely good chance i'll die early on and not get far in the game at all. But yeah, i'm gonna make a plant8), how bout u?

Dude don't be a fool, if you're going to make a plant for a creature you need to take over the universe with a race of venus fly traps or w/e they're called. Here's a drawing to illustrate my vision, and there's also some suggestion for the architecture style as well.
